I have to say....    I've installed the Kubuntu 13.10 beta 2 on two machines 
so far and it has been the BEST/EASIEST installation I have seen in many 
years.

No problems whatsoever with the install process, something that usually took 
me 5 or 6 tries to get by the Ubiquity crashes...
