Still 100% CPU when using Kontact.

This sounds perfectly reasonable. I am going  to try this now, after sending 
this mail.  Tonight, I give the system the chance to make a new database after 
renaming the folder you mention and after rebooting. 

At some moment next week, I will tell at this forum wether it works or not.
