Kubuntu backports incompatible with HWE stack for 12.04.3 LTS?

Thanks for the reply.
I was mainly interested in updated nouveau drivers, hoping that these
would fix occasional glitches with my Nvidia video card, but if they
are incompatible with backported KDE, I prefer to use old drivers and
updated KDE.
