system incredibly slow

I agree with Mr Ferrari.
All of sudden, even my system does experience the same problem. As far as I 
can understand, nepomuk seems to be the problem - it takes whooping 25% of 
CPU often.
I don't remember any recent updates, other than firefox and some system 
security updates from ubuntu.
