Kubuntu 11.10 - Desktop Settings

Hi all,

I am running Kubuntu 11.10. I had the default Desktop Settings which, on the top  left  corner, showed home  directory folders and files. This had a nice blue/green transparent look, and clicking on any folder would bring up "Dolphin" file manager. 

Suddenly I have lost this display on the  desktop. How do  I  get this back?
