network monitor colours

For no reason that I can fathom, when I logged out and back in today, the
colours on the network monitor plasmoid changed.

Where is the init file (or equivalent) that I can edit to change the colours
back to something more reasonable?

PS Probably related, but equally unfathomable, is that the backgrounds of the
my panels changed from a grey colour to black. I don't really mind that
change, but the colour(s) of the network monitor plasmoids no longer contrast
enough with the background to be obvious at a glance.
