Making Gnome start Orca

I have Ubuntu 12.04.2. I would like to have Gnome start Orca, so that I
can use the desktop as soon as it comes up. I have already configured
Orca to use Braille, but I can't get it started. Someone sent me the
following commands.

eval $(dbus-launch)
export DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS DBUS_SESSION_BUS_PID
GSETTINGS_BACKEND=dconf gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.a11y.applications screen-reader-enabled true

However, when I run them I get the message "no protocol specified."

Please help. Thanks.
