Install Lubuntu

I'm not sure I can help you, but here are some questions where the 
answer might help others to help you.

- What does the s-video part have to do with the installation? Usually 
you should connect a monitor to the VGA output.

- Do you install from CD or USB stick?

- At which point is the screen black? Is there at least an initial 
screen when the CD/USB starts?

- If you got an initial screen, did you try to select some boot options 
with the F6 key?

Finally a suggestion: If you don't get a sufficient answer here, you may 
have better luck if you ask your question on the Ubuntu-users list [1].
