Hybrid ati Intel laptop

Well no, of course there is no Intel videocard, the graphic system is
embedded in the on-board Intel chip set, so the laptop can run either
with the ATI videocard or with embedded graphics that will just shows
as an Intel controller, not as a video card. If there were no embedded
graphics it wouldn't be a hybrid laptop, would it?

PS. But, as mentioned by Sinclair, if you can't change that in the
BIOS then that laptop is pretty much a lost cause for Linux AFAICS
