Hi,
I believe the bios is a low level firmware interface, generally written by the 
computer manufacturer, if you also have Windows installed you could use it to 
update your bios.
Else you will have to call Toshiba to get the bios executable ( NOT the 
Windows executable).

Will this update interfere with Linux booting and necessitate an update-grub,  
I don't know. To be on the safe side I would first do a back-up.
