13.10 - Will UEFI Installation Work ?

Hi,

I tried to install Kubuntu 13.04 in UEFI mode and it failed constantly.
I was told it was a bug in the kernel that ships with 13.04.

Will UEFI installation be working in upcoming Kubuntu 13.10?
Currently running Windows 8 and feel ill...

Also, will SDL 2 be in Kubuntu 13.10 package manager?
