Hibernate missing in Kubuntu 12.04 lts

I found the one for Ubuntu(debian) k12.04 and tried it out but after hibernating
 and closing down. I then rebooted it but went thru the motion of the
grub screen then I
clicked K12.04 but then all it did was reboot itself, and not come out
of hibernation , do
you know why?
