smtp problems mail

Hello GK,

Thank you for your reply, the problem is solved by the internet company.
They didn't close adsl while glasfiber should be there, this was the problem and not Ubuntu.

My sisters laptop with Ubuntu 12.10 gets a smtp error with thunderbird.
Her provider is kpn in the Netherlands.
First it works and suddensly after the updat mayby not anymore.
The smpt settings are  mail.kpnmail.nl with port 25.

The error is in Dutch;
Verzenden van bericht mislukt.
Het bericht kon niet worden verzonden omdat het verbinden met SMTP-server mail.kpnmail.nl is mislukt. De server is misschien niet beschikbaar of weigert SMTP-verbindingen. Ga na of uw SMTP-serverinstellingen juist zijn en probeer het opnieuw, of neem contact op met de serverbeheerder.
