Issue 2 with Precise

In 11.10 I could hibernate (resume is not working but never did, suspect
hardware as it is buggered in Windows 7 as well) either by having fglrx
graphics blob installed (this while on pae-kernel) or by using tuxonice
ppa while on AMD64.
Now in 12.04 apparently it is "disabled". I have followed the advice on
enabling it but neither with vanilla kernel or with tuxonice does it
work. On vanilla kernel it does all the right movements but freezes on
resume. On tuxonice kernel it looks like it is hibernating but starts
with a fresh login.
Any ideas are welcome, no matter how "oldfashioned" hibernate may seem.
When you experience powercuts of up to 14 hours you want to be able to
hibernate.
kind regards
Sinclair
