KDE 4.8.1 showstopper - for me at least

For starters I use Kontact/KMail and the bug in question is related to 
that - so if you are not you may not be interested.

In short - I have tried 4.8.1 on stable 11.10 and beta 12.04 Kubuntu. In 
both cases I can not get KMail and KAddressbook to function together.

On writing a new email I type the first letters of an email address in 
the "To" (or CC, BCC etc) field - "recent addresses" will come up with 
suggestions but not Personal Contacts or ANY addressbook (vcard etc) 
that I have tried. Distribution lists do not work, even if chosen via 
the "select" button next the address field.

I would LOVE to have confirmed if this is a general bug or if someone 
else has it working - in which case I have to find out how. If not I am 
on 4.7.4 until I hear that this works...
