Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, and anything in between,
My first 2 comments are addressed to Dimitris:
(1) *PLEASE* do *NOT* top-post!
(2) TRIM your replies so that you do NOT restate what the other person
has already stated! [***]
And a general plea to all who get themselves involved in a technically
orientated mail list, if you must provide details of some output, like a
log file or something such as what was provided by A.D. Burrows, then
*PLEASE* upload your log file/whatever to a site specifically set up to
accept and disseminate such files like-
http://susepaste.org/ (you can find your own if you want to, I
don't care)
and then *ONLY* provide in your message the URL to your log
file/whatever instead of the whole frigging text of the output! :-(
I, personally, do not give a rat's about what you, A.D., had as the
output before running Firefox, or after, or in-between.
I suspect that nobody else did either - except Dimitris who "asked the
question".
But even if I, or anyone else, DID care then, instead of having the
whole sheebang being downloaded to my system and to all the other scores
of people who read this list, then all I would need to do is to go the
URL where the information is sitting and look at it - and download it if
I wanted to instead of having it foisted on me without my knowledge.
[***] I know that you have a gmail account, but you have no excuse
because I can see that you are using Thunderbird 10.0.2 which has always
had the option to be configured so as to reply to posts in the proper
way. (BTW, the latest Thunderbird released version available is 13.x -
and I am running the 'bleeding edge' version, 17.0a.1, if you care to
check my Header.)
