running a shell script from a launcher without opening a shell window

I also run squirrel under Kubuntu Lucid (Kubulucid ??).  When I installed it 
the installer created a menu entry for it. I subsequently added it to my 
panel. I like squirrel for some tasks, the mysql query browser for others. I 
also use acqua datastudio and ms sql enterprise manager running in a win 2000 
VM. I find for designing tables the native tools work best.
