Dear Kubuntu readers,

I have a problem installing software. The details are as follows. Can any one help me?
I am writing this to get your guidance to install a software package

I was trying to install open Office.org Darabase. When I selected the software from the list and clicked install and apply I got the following message

"Waiting for Package manger Lock Cannot get exclusive lock on the package backend.. Please close any other legacy packaging tools that may be open ( There was no other package opend at that time)".

When I checked the details I got the following message>
"dpkg was interrupted you must manually run dpkg--configure-a" to correct the problem

I can't imagine how to give the command to run dpkg--configure-a. In which dialog box do I write this command?
Please help me. I tried to install some other software and I got the same messages.

Thank you
Ariya
