leep/Suspend failing on a Asus P8H61-M-LE V3

I have a Asus P8H61-M-LE V3  with a  i5 2500 . To be exact, it sleeps, but
never wakes up in response to anything (including the power button). I have
wake on USB, PCI etc enabled in the bios.



To restore it I have to physically cycle the power - a hard reset via the
reset button doesn't work.

Oddly enough Hibernate works fine, except the USB wifi adapter fails  to be
recognised.

Any suggestions on what to do next?
