Panel Woes.....

Howdy folks;

I was playing with something called, "wally", which supposedly lets you use
whatever pics you want for your wallpaper.  I'm running lucid, and it
doesn't seem
to have that option on it's own.  Anyway, the README file said to log out and
then back in, and look for it's plugin in settings/appearance, but it not only
wasn't there, the KDE panel at the bottom of the screen is gone, too.

Does anyone know how to get it back short of re-installing the whole shebang?
