kubuntu vs cups, shared printers aren't.

Greetings folks;

This box, a 32 bit pclos install, claims that cups is sharing all my
printers.

But since I re-installed Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS on my milling machines box I
can't see or use the printers from that box.

What is the exact syntax to query for available printers on the local
network?

lpinfo either returns nothing or a syntax error, while this box claims they
are shared.

This did work flawlessly when that box had kubuntu 6.06 LTS on it.

Any clues?

Thanks.

After a number of decimal places, nobody gives a damn.
