Howdy gang;

Can anyone tell me what program creates the following?


Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
(synaptic:26714): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0


Can it be safely removed, and re-installed, or is there, (hopefully),
a better way to fix this?

I really don't need to rebuild the entire system __again__, do I?  I'm
getting this from a
number of unrelated things, and mostly I can work around them, but
it's getting anoying
__again__.
