Missing Sound Package?

Howdy gang;

Re-doing the OS Install thing yet again, (sigh).

At least this time appears to be the stable-est attempt in a while.
One problem I do have with
it though, is a lack of sound when watching youtube.  It plays, "Ode
To A Dying Cockroach",
or whatever it is on boot-up and shut-down, makes noises for games,
and even plays .wav
files, but no sound for videos.  I'm probably missing something
obvious, but either way, what
am I missing?
