I don't really know a lot about this, so this is likely the last idea I'll 
have...
Have you tried looking at the permissions in konqueror (right click
->Properties->Permissions on the file you're trying to edit)? Also verify the 
username displayed.

I haven't had much experience connecting to windows servers, so this is 
speculation, but perhaps it simply doesn't like clients outside a whitelist 
and won't let them write.
