Graphics tablets

Thinking about getting a graphics tablet for my daughter to be used with 
Kubuntu 10.04/.10 and programs like Inkscape and Gimp.

Does anyone have any recommendations for ones that work relaibly with Kubuntu, 
are fairly cheap and available in the UK?
