Ubuntu uses xorg for livecd but when you start it, it detect your video
card and try to use it. jockey ask you if you want to use it drivers.
sorry my english is limited...
with nvidia i have no problems, ATI i have an old card so sometimes
difficult... I usually disinstalled my video card if i have problems and
use vesa drivers which most of the case works.
