Help with Bluetooth

  Asked this question incorrectly yesterday - sorry.
Here goes again.

Fresh install of Maverick and my bluetooth mouse will not pair.  The new 
bluedevil finds the mouse and attempts to connect but stops at the pin 
validation stage.  I do not know where to look to find a solution and 
the cli tools are different than what I know.  eg. hidd --search  used 
to work now hidd no longer exists.
Can someone help
btw.  It is a standard MS bluetooth mouse
