I have both, but I just never use kmix, so I don't dink up what
pavucontrol sets. It's perfect as it is. Every problem I ever had
setting which device to select for output or input is solved. I park
pavucontrol on my task bar and when I select an A/V application, I can
select which devices to use for it, and it seems to remember. Slick. Ric
