sftp: and fish: protocols in konqueror.

I've just been trying to connect to a directory on a remote host via the
fish and/or sftp protocols in konqueror, but it is just sitting there
with a rotating cursor and a connecting message in the bottom left. 

I'm running Lucid with KDE 4.5.1 from the PPA

I can connect to the host with ssh via the command line so I don't think
that accesses have been messed up.

Has anyone else seen this problem? and if so is there a fix?
