Latest updates borks resolution settings

My monitors native resolution is 1280x1024 but after the latest updates 
this morning the best available is 1024x728. If I remember right I used 
to be able to set the monitor and such in System Settings but I'm not 
finding the option there now.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
