Upgrading to KDE 4.5.3: alright to remove kdebase-workspace and friends?

It seems a temporary issue -- read https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/670788

I had the issue (even removed the suggested) then after 1 hour did apt-get 
update then all worked.
