I did the lucid update on my laptop and this bug was definitely still
present. Having fixed the problem by following the advice to remove
virtualbox-ose-guest-dkms, though, I'm still left with several other
problems that make virtualbox unusable. I haven't had time to google yet
and find the fixes for these bugs.
This is one of those "did they actually test the virtualbox package before
releasing lucid?" things, at least for me. There seem to be several
showstopper problems with the package as released. I definitely won't be
upgrading any more important machines to lucid until virtualbox runs as
cleanly as it did before the upgrade on my laptop.
