Next week I plan to begin upgrading machines to lucid. We have 3 desktops that I am going to start with. I am sending this message to see if anyone on the list can see any gotchas before I begin. I plan to do full fresh installs on all three of them. Here is the hardware:

DVD LG 12X DVD-ROM
Memory 2 sticks of Crucial DDR2-800 2GB for a total of 4GB

Network Card Intel 82541PI Gigabit Ethernet Controller (PCI)
Power Supply Coolmax 600 Watt Modular Power Supply

Batman and Tetra are currently running the KDE3.5 remix of kubuntu 9.10. Rockfish is running Mepis 8.0.06. We plan to finally make the switch to kde4 with this release.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have had a problem with Batman only being able to run at either 1600x1200 or 1024x768 resolution under Karmic, so I am interested in any advice offered. Thanks.
