Kubuntu 10.04 and address book

Could someone tell me the correct way to have the address book set up in 
10.04?

At the moment in KDE Resources I have Default Address book of type file 
/home/mfraser/.kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf, but in KAddressbook it is an 
Akonadi Resource called Personal Contacts at 
/home/mfraser/.local/share/contacts/.

This obviously means that neither Kopete and KMail are looking at the right 
address book, but if I change KDE Resources to an Akonadi Resource Kontact 
doesn't start up.

Please help me!!
