Oh... I dunno. I thought there might be an official way to switch audio
sources without finding the missing alsa-utils parts, and cobbling my
system up just to make asoundconf-gtk work with karmic. If there is a
new audio source switcher app that is convenient, I'm just not finding
it. So, I asked. Got a straight answer? :) Ric
