Back to Karmic how to switch audio hardware??

Well, I jut upgraded to karmic, after using it back in the beta stages
where it obliterated .asoundconf-gtk, which was a swell app to switch
audio devices. I needed some updates, so I upgraded back. Same ole. Is
there an easy way to switch audio devices when I want one enabled
without editing the system pref thingie. Some special key function??
