> I don't have knowledge of that modem, but I know ubuntu kernels had issues with modems based on Huwaei chipsets - if your dmesg output includes any information that includes 'Huwaei' (I may have spelled that wrong) then you are probably out of luck. They are supposed to be fixed in Lucid.
unfortunately this is not a Huawei, those are by now "wellknown"
headaches. It some sort of unidentified chinese item sold by some 3g
network providers. so far no luck whasoever. The issue is that if I
"eject" it it does not get identified as a modem, it just returns as a
scsi-drive "CD" again... drives me nuts as I NEED this to work for a
client. Several of them actually...
