Hi again...
Disabled ipv6 at run time.... and MSN is working again... ?
I indeed noticed I had this ipv6 address configured on eth0 :
adr inet6: fe80::218:f3ff:fe3d:820f/64 Scope:Lien
I ran : ifconfig eth0 del inet6: fe80::218:f3ff:fe3d:820f/64 ... and things are working again ... ???
Would anyone have an idea of what's going on ?
Can someone reproduce this ? (I don't know yet how does this ipv6 address appear on that interface, I certainly did not configure that, and I am using a fixed ipv4 address)
Would that be a bug (I mean : the fact that some things seem to pass from ipv4 to ipv6 when there's an ipv6 address on the interface, not the fact that there is an address) ?
I found the following bug, but it is apparently "status : fix released", and my system is up-to-date...
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eglibc/+bug/417757
Weird weird weird...
Cheers
