Kubuntu Jaunty does not display KDM after boot up

Worked like a charm this time, but need to make sure it does not happen again so need to do a few more reboots.
Also if Alvin's diagnosis is right then I need to find a way to delete the /tmp every time I shut-down

I agree with him, I had upgraded to Karmic twice but then downgraded because of all the start-up issues
if this were fixed, I'd have no problems migrating. Hope Lucid does a beter job
