It doesn't seem to take that long here. Do you have a lot of data in 
that resource? If you want to find out which particular component is 
responsible for the long startup, you could disable them one-by-one 
in the kontact settings. Or does it only take that long the first 
time you start it after a reboot?

If you set up kontact to start with one specific plugin (like KMail) 
active, does that help?
