Laptop battery going flat when shutdown

I have two VAIOs and I know they drain battery even when shut down, but 
not as fast as you are experiencing. Mine drain about 10% of the battery 
power each day, so batteries go flat after about 11-12 days. It seems it 
is a known problem with VAIOs, at least I found several other people 
with this problem on the net. I have to remove the batteries if I'm not 
going to use the VAIOs for a few days.
