Segmentation fault with GTK applications

Hi there,
         I don't know if there is a known issue, but I'm having problems
with GTK applications on Kubuntu 10.04, particulary with Pidgin and Firefox.
The applications hang with error "Segmentation fault". Do you know how to
solve this issue?
