Quoting from the directions found on http://wicd.sourceforge.net/download.php
on how to install wicd on Ubuntu (this part of the process is the exact same
for Kubuntu):
You'll also need to add the key used for signing Wicd by running the following
command in a terminal:
wget -q http://apt.wicd.net/wicd.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
After that you can use your package manager to reload your package list and
then install wicd as you would any other application.
