All right, thanks. I will have to assume that the problem is fixed (as
all other sources say that) until you tell me that on KDE 4.3.x or
4.4.x the plasmoids still move around. So if you do leave them
unlocked and they move around, let me know!

I have a separate partition set aside for these matters, but you could
also use a LiveCD. I will tell you now, Kaddressbook has been
rewritten in KDE 4.4 and it is missing a few features. You should read
these and please comment on what will affect you to convince the dev
to fix it quickly:

In your screenshot, you have a bar below the Activity (near the center
of the image) that looks somthing like this:
+ | Add Widgets... | ⌕ | ⌬
The third one from the left is the magnifier. Click it to magnify that activity.
