Dear Lindsay,

I had all the settings in their proper places, including ssl. Whenever I put
in my password in the smtp configuration then ckicked OK, the 'apply' option
did not highlight so that it could be clicked on. As a result, the just
included password was no longer entered.

I just removed kmail and booted. I then went into .kde>share>apps> and
removed kmail. I then installed kmail again. I was trying to have all prior
configuration removed and start with an empty and clean Kmail. When I opened
kmail, it had the same mail in the inbox, etc. I don't understand. I thought
I removed everything that is Kmail before installing Kmail again.

If you get this It means that things are working properly again.

Steven
