I can't try that now. I tried to install another audio mixer to solve another
newly created problem. When attempting to install it, the computer said
should first remove "libsdl1.2debian-alsa". When I did that and booted, the
system would no longer boot up. I am currently with a command prompt in the
boot stage of open. Twice I have downloaded Karmic kde live CD's; neither
will stop the boot process to allow installation, nonetheless, when I
downloaded them and attempted installation and was unsuccessful, I then tried
to view the contents. I was able to do that, so I believe the cd is being
recognized; I just can't understand that at the same time it is unrecognized
when I boot. I will try your F11 with Firefox opened if I can get a desktop
again. Thanks. Since I am at a command prompt, is there anything I can do?
