Hello Everybody

Recently I did manage to shrink the Win7 partition at my new "Asus Eee
PC 1001HA" - as specified in the very beginning of this thread. Now, I
am about take the next step: installing Kubuntu 9.10 netbook remix -
while following instructions of this thread. That's why I copied a
live iso image of that distro at my main desktop to a usb stick: via
"usb-creator-kde". In particular I try to follow the instructions at
this wiki:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick

However it may be, my attempt to start installing already failed in
the very beginning. I do not manage to activate the boot menu, even
while pressing esc OR f12. Instead, I immediately jump into some
Windows configuration recovery menu.

Do you have any clue what to do next in order to help my netbook
booting from USB?

Thanks for your feedback. Respectfully yours,

Bas.
