Hi Tom,

yeh, there was another update today and again it broke my desktop, but 
a simple reboot once again has returned full working order apparently. 
Although I do have a couple of bugs related to nvidia and 3d graphics 
and I've stopped using desktop effects for being too troublesome, they 
don't play nice with others....

oh, and I have to find now where the setting is that has been changed 
and makes a power save operation by blanking my screen, grrrrrrrh!
Hopefully that was it it Power Mgmt, Edit Profiles, Screen, Enable 
display power mgmt.
