Also Notebook replacement parts are EXTREMELY expensive. And
notebook repair is a pain in the ass. I only do it when
there is a repair manual available and, honestly, I need to
charge my notebook repair customers way to much money to
warrant the repair, most of the time.

Most of all, I personally find Notebooks to be extremely
unfriendly in regard to ergonomics. They (most often) have
bad Displays (at all cost you should avoid a mirror disply
imho) and the keyboards are lousy, to say the least. They
also force you to constantly look down to the display which
also causes neck and back strains.
Of course there are docking stations and external TFTs and
external mice and keyboards available, but then you can also
use a desktop, just cheaper and more powerful. ;-)

So, fully agreed, if you absolutely need one, you will know
and then you will need to deal with it. If you are unsure,
you do not need one.

my 2 cents
