32 bit vs 64 bit

For the length of time 64-bit has been around, I was surprised to see
the question is asked.

64-bit distros have been running as good as 32-bit. I have Kubuntu
64-bit installed on a standalone box and openSUSE 64-bit on 4 others,
including a laptop since April 2004. I have one 32-bit openSUSE box also.
Apart from standalone boxes, I run many 64-bit distros including Kubuntu
in VirtualBox VM's.

It's a dead issue as 32-bit software also runs under 64-bit but not the
other way around, so you can run 32-bit firefox and 32-bit flash under
64-bit as I do.
Regards
Sid.
